The Quantock Hills for me are a more civilised version of Exmoor, not as wild, not as dramatic but they have a charm of their own. An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) and justly so, heath and moor mix with agricultural land and villages in wooded valleys softer than nearby Exmoor but well worth a visit.
